Journey 2: The Mysterious Island begins when young Sean Anderson (Josh Hutcherson, reprising his role from the first film) receives a coded distress signal from a mysterious island where no island should exist. It's a place of strange life forms, mountains of gold, deadly volcanoes, and more than one astonishing secret. Unable to stop him from going, Sean's new stepfather, Hank (Dwayne Johnson), joins the quest. Together with a helicopter pilot (Luis Guzman) and his beautiful, strong-willed daughter (Vanessa Hudgens), they set out to find the island, rescue its lone inhabitant and escape before seismic shockwaves force the island under the sea and bury its treasures forever.

Great family adventure film for those who love escapist entertainment. Loosely based on the Jules Verne story, it has quality special effects that you can watch at the Firehouse in Glorious 2D. 2 weeks only. AND Michael Caine rocks!

Sir Laurence Olivier is making a movie in London. Young Colin Clark, an eager film student, wants to be involved and he navigates himself a job on the set. When film star Marilyn Monroe arrives for the start of shooting, all of London is excited to see the blonde bombshell, while Olivier is struggling to meet her many demands and acting ineptness, and Colin is intrigued by her. Colin's intrigue is met when Marilyn invites him into her inner world where she struggles with her fame, her beauty and her desire to be a great actress.

Michelle Williams is nominated for an Oscar and won a Golden Globe for her incredible portrayal of Marilyn Monroe and Kenneth Branagh Best Supporting Actor Oscar nomination as Laurence Olivier.

A much requested film we thought we were getting some time ago and now we have another chance.

In the early 1970s during the Cold War, the head of British Intelligence, Control, resigns after an operation in Budapest, Hungary goes badly wrong. It transpires that Control believed one of four senior figures in the service was in fact a Russian agent - a mole - and the Hungary operation was an attempt to identify which of them it was. Smiley had been forced into retirement by the departure of Control, but is asked by a senior government figure to investigate a story told to him by a rogue agent, Ricky Tarr, that there was a mole. Smiley considers that the failure of the Hungary operation and the continuing success of Operation Witchcraft (an apparent source of significant Soviet intelligence) confirms this, and takes up the task of finding him. Through the efforts of Peter Guillam, Smiley obtains information that eventually leads him to Jim Prideaux, the agent at the heart of the Hungary fiasco...

Based on the novel by John le Carre (considered one of the best spy novels ever). This is a remake of a BBC mini series from the 1970's and it is a powerful though complex tale. Gary Oldman has been nominated for Best Actor and the British Acadamy film Awards nominated for Best Picture, Actor, Directer, Screenplay etc... one of the better British films of the year.

Mary Pols, Time: OUTSTANDING
"...so elegant, deliberate and smart that it's a shocker it got made.... [It's the] kind of film that asks you to sit with it a while and to pay attention.... Oldman has been waiting for a part such as this for years. He makes every second on screen count."
